Kathy received Master of Science degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2000. She is a Missouri licensed audiologist since 2000.

She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in both audiology and speech-language pathology.
